One of the nicest characteristics of this area is in fact to see how many Chinese businesses exist in harmony with numerous traditional Milanese ones.

Chinatown is a truly inspiring area, rich with scents and colours, and always very busy. If you happen to be here between 21st January and 19th February every year, you will no doubt come across what is commonly known as Chinese New Year. It is hard to delimit this area with a perimeter and pointless to give you a precise route to follow, because whichever way you turn, there will always be something to catch your attention: a scent to follow, a sign to read, or a colourful window display to observe. Wherever you look, there will be a sequence of historic shops of every kind flanked by colourful oriental ones.
