The route of the Ecomuseo dell’Adda di Leonardo allows you to discover a territory little known to those who do not live there, crossing the provinces of Milan, Monza and Brianza to Lecco, along the course of the river. The area of the Ecomuseum involves the Parco Adda Nord and the territory that extends in the provinces of Lecco, Milan and Bergamo. What distinguishes it is the presence of water: suggestive views enhance the territory that winds along the river Adda and welcomes the Paderno and Martesana canals.This Ecomuseum, that is a museum that develops in the open air on the territory recognizing the value of its assets, honours the great Leonardo Da Vinci in the places where he deepened his studies, developed inventions and made his observations on nature.Leonardo arrived in Milan in 1482 proposing himself to Ludovico il Moro as a military engineer and remained at his service for almost twenty years, during which he dedicated himself to the study of water courses.<\/p>\n
he route of Leonardo’s Ecomuseo dell’Adda begins at the Leonardo ferry that connects Imbersago and Villa d’Adda and ends at the Radun di Groppello, at the south gate.Walking through the Adda Ecomuseum you will find valuable historical evidence: Celtic, Longobard and Roman remains, hydraulic works of the early medieval Benedictine reclamation, medieval and Renaissance castles, churches, sanctuaries, hydroelectric power stations, spinning and cotton mills and the UNESCO World Heritage site Workers’ Village of Crespi.<\/p>\n
Along the way you will find the headquarters of the Ecomuseum, the Stallazzo located in Paderno d’Adda, a place that once served as a shelter and site for changing horses that towed the boats against the current.<\/p>\n
Further on is also the second ecomuseum site of the Sanctuary of the Rocchetta, a small 14th century church overlooking the Adda.<\/p>\n
Right next to this church is the landscape that inspired Leonardo for the background of the Virgin of the Rocks. \nLa storia del castello di Milano \u00e8 molto complessa, vi basti sapere che nonostante sia stato fatto costruire dalla famiglia dei Visconti, pass\u00f2 in mano successivamente alla famiglia degli Sforza assai pi\u00f9 benvoluta dal popolo milanese e, per questo motivo, oggi si chiama Castello Sforzesco e non Visconteo!
\n\u00c8 anche importante sapere che, nella sua storia, esso fu distrutto e ricostruito, cambiato e modificato tante volte passando dall\u2019essere un castello suntuoso e prestigiosa dimora del Duca, a caserma di soldati e ricovero per cavalli\u2026.oggi conserva nelle sue sale la storia della citt\u00e0 e sette musei imperdibili!
