Fondato nel 1977, il Museo Civico Polironiano di San Benedetto Po \u00e8 uno dei maggiori musei etnografici d’Italia. Con oltre 13.000 oggetti costituisce un importante documento storico e propone un recupero delle testimonianze, materiali e immateriali, specifiche dell’area di riferimento del Museo: la pianura fluviale solcata dal Po, adagiata tra le Prealpi e l’Appennino Tosco-Emiliano. Oggi quello che si visita \u00e8 il nuovo allestimento inaugurato il 2 ottobre 2009 che si trova nei suggestivi piani superiori del complesso monastico. La prima parte (sezioni 1 – 15) del nuovo allestimento \u00e8 dedicata alla cultura materiale e alla societ\u00e0 rurale; la seconda (sezioni dalla 16 alla 24) \u00e8 riservata alla magia, alla religione popolare, alle leggende locali e alle espressioni artistiche del mondo padano. Di notevole interesse anche la collezione storico-archeologica del Museo, attualmente esposta nei seminterrati dell’ex refettorio monastico. La collezione comprende materiali fittili, lapidei e ceramiche conventuali recuperati durante le campagne di scavo. Un’altra importante collezione \u00e8 quella degli antichi carri agricoli reggiano\u2013modenesi che si trova nei seminterrati dell’ex infermeria monastica.<\/p>\n
