Castel dell\u2019Ovo – after the Castel Capuano it is the most ancient castle in the city of Naples and it is one of the elements that mostly detach in the famous panorama of the Gulf. Its name derives from an ancient legend according to which the Latin poet Virgilio – that in the Middle Age was considered also a magician – hid in the secret ones some building an egg that maintained standing the whole fortitude. Its breakup would not only have provoked the collapse of the castle, but also a series of ruinous catastrophes in the city of Naples.<\/p>\n
