Possibile insediamento preromano, il villaggio \u00e8 un superbo punto panoramico; da una parte il Golfo di La Spezia con le Alpi Apuane, dall\u2019altra il mare aperto e, nelle giornate terse, Capraia, Gorgona e la Corsica. Abbiamo ormai abbandonato il Parco Nazionale delle Cinque Terre a favore del Parco Regionale di Portovenere e dai substrati calcarei siamo passati a quelli arenari (pi\u00f9 friabili e soggetti a frane). I pini e i castagni si spartiscono il terreno. Possibly a pre-Roman settlement, the village rises in a stunning viewpoint over the surrounding area. On one side, you can see the Gulf of La Spezia and the Apuan Alps, while, on the other side, the open sea. On clear sky days, the sight reaches as far as the islands of Capraia, Gorgona and Corsica. We left the Parco Nazionale of Cinque Terre and we are now in the Parco Regionale of Portovenere, thus leaving behind the calcareous substrate and its flora and entering an area formed by sandstone strata, more friable and subject to landslides. In this environment, pine trees and chestnuts prosper, thus constituting much of the local vegetation.
