The small church is located inside the inhabited center of San Lorenzo in Vaccoli. &lt;br> there is not much news about the history of the building. In recent years the church has been restored by the parishioners, who reported the building to its original appearance, typical of the minor Romanesque. The plant is unique classroom, with little projecting apse, arranged according to the East-West axis. Furthermore, Vaccoli is among the possessions of the Lombard nobility settled in the Lucca area and it is believed that the country has Lombard origin.\r\nCurrently the main church of the locality, today the parish church, gives its name to the hamlet -San Lorenzo in Vaccoli -, being dedicated to San Lorenzo. Slightly out of axis compared to the center of the facade there is the entrance, finished with brick bricks and surmounted by a glass bezel with the image of the Christ represented according to the traditional iconography. In the upper part of the facade, an oculus opens.\r\nInside the classroom has a ceiling with wooden trusses, beams, travicelli and mezzane. The floor is in terracotta. The presbytery is raised from the ground by two steps, with the marble altar in the center.
