The church of San Martino al Bagno is now located within the park of the former spa of Uliveto Terme. From the external road network, only the upper part of the building is visible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first documentary attestation of San Martino dates back to 1282. Subsequently the building is mentioned in a list of real estate properties from the second half of the fourteenth century. No mention is made of the state of conservation of the property, but in 1463 the “report” accompanying a pastoral visit describes it in ruins. Finally, in 1964, various restoration interventions restored the original Romanesque appearance to the building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The church has a single elongated hall plan, with a semicircular apse, with a greater height than that in length. The fa\u00e7ade has a gabled layout and has no opening. It has an oculus in a central position. La chiesa di San Martino al Bagno si trova oggi all\u2019interno del parco dell\u2019ex stabilimento termale di Uliveto Terme. Dalla viabilit\u00e0 esterna \u00e8 visibile soltanto la parte superiore dell\u2019edificio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
La prima attestazione documentaria di San Martino risale al 1282. Successivamente l\u2019edificio viene citato in un elenco di propriet\u00e0 immobiliari della seconda met\u00e0 del XIV secolo. Non viene fatto cenno allo stato di conservazione del bene, ma nel 1463 la \u201crelazione\u201d a corredo di una visita pastorale lo descrive in rovina. Nel 1964, infine, vari interventi di restauro hanno ripristinato per l\u2019edificio l\u2019originario aspetto romanico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
La chiesa presenta pianta ad aula singola allungata, con abside semicircolare, con sviluppo in altezza maggiore di quello in lunghezza. La facciata ha impianto a capanna ed \u00e8 priva di apertura. Presenta un oculo in posizione centrale.
