{"type":"Feature","properties":{"id":7916,"name":"Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta","description":"<p>Consacrata nell&#8217;803 dal vescovo di Lucca, alla presenza del vescovo pisano e di messi imperiali, la chiesa fu ricostruita tra il XVI ed il XVII secolo e completamente ristrutturata nel 1861-62, perpendicolare al precedente edificio. Dell&#8217;assetto medioevale resta la facciata con semplice portale architravato e archivoltato, conclusa dal timpano. Nel fianco destro \u00e8 inserito un architrave scolpito, di incerta provenienza, risalente alla fine dell&#8217;XI secolo, eseguito in ambito pisano-lucchese, raffigurante un elaborato tralcio vegetale trattenuto da un uomo ed includente animali reali e fantastici. Between the 16th and the 17th centuries, it was rebuilt, and completely remade in 1861-62, when its orientation was turned of 90 degrees. Of the medieval setting only the fa\u00e7ade ending in a gable, and the lintelled portal with archivolt, are left. In the right flank a sculpted lintel is embedded. By unknown author, it dates back to the late 11th century, and it surely comes from the Pisa-Lucca artistic environment. It represents a man holding an elaborate floral shoot, and real and imaginary animals.
