Pur avendo perso la sua antica veste medievale per assumere una connotazione di carattere commerciale, a\u00a0Bientina<\/strong>\u00a0\u00e8 possibile visitare: la\u00a0Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta<\/strong>, dove sono conservate le spoglie di San Valentino, il\u00a0Museo di Arte Sacra<\/strong>, il\u00a0Museo Etrusco<\/strong>\u00a0e la\u00a0Chiesa di San Girolamo<\/strong>, dove \u00e8 allestita una mostra permanente sulla storia antica del territorio. La raccolta comprende reperti di epoca proto-etrusca ed etrusco-romana rinvenuti nel Padule di Bientina nel corso delle campagne di scavo del 1953 e 1957.<\/p>\n Di sicuro interesse naturalistico \u00e8 il\u00a0Bosco Tanali<\/strong>, situato sul lato occidentale del\u00a0Padule di Bientina, alle pendici dei\u00a0Monti Pisani. Il bosco si estende per circa 153 ettari ai margini dell\u2019ex alveo del lago. L\u2019area comprende una variet\u00e0 di ambienti molto significativi dal punto di vista naturalistico: prati umidi periodicamente allagati, pagliereti, boschi umidi, canneti e piccoli specchi d\u2019acqua; ambienti importanti per la vita di molte specie di piante ed animali.<\/p>\n L\u2019artigianato<\/strong>\u00a0rimane una risorsa importante per il paese. The area encompasses a wide variety of environments of great naturalist significance: periodically flooded wetlands, marshes, river woodlands, groves of reeds and small ponds; environments that are important to the lives of a great number of plant and animal species.<\/p>\n Craftsmanship<\/strong>\u00a0still constitutes an important resource for the town. A traditional\u00a0antiques market<\/strong>\u00a0is held in the Piazza dei Borghi on the fourth Saturday and Sunday of every month.<\/p>\nBientina, an artisan’s village by its very nature, sits on the slopes of the Monti Pisani.<\/h4>\n
