Oggi \u00e8 una moderna zona industriale e commerciale.
\nVi si trovano ancora tracce dell’antica chiesa di S. Michele. Dalla zona chiamata “Parole d’Oro” si sviluppa l’Acquedotto di Lorenzo Nottolini, che attraversa il paese fino a giungere alle porte della citt\u00e0 di Lucca.
\nDa ricordare inoltre la presenza nelle vicinanze delle Cave di Guamo, conosciute per l’estrazione della famosa pietra di Guamo, materiale da costruzione utilizzato fin dal Medioevo.<\/p>\n

\nThere are still evidences of the ancient church of Saint Michael. The acqueduct of Lorenzo Nottolini<\/a> rises from the area called “Parole d’Oro<\/a>” (Golden Words) and reaches the gates of the city of Lucca.
\nImportant to mention is also the presence of the quarry of Guamo, known for the estraction of the famous stone of Guamo, a material already used in the Middle Ages for buildings and constructions.<\/p>\n
