This unit has been mapped as a marble within the more pervasive gneiss of the Sierra Estrella, but extensive metasomatism has left dominantly calc-silicate rock comprised of grossular-andradite solid solution garnets, epidote, and wollastonite, among other minerals. Metasomatism was presumably due to intrusion of nearby pegmatites.<br \/>\nPhotoID766<\/p>\n<p>Photograph: Ben Murphy<\/p>\n","modified":"2018-09-04T13:22:07","color":"","icon":"","noDetails":false,"noInteraction":false,"image":"https:\/\/outcropedia.tectask.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Sierra-Estrella-Epidote-Quartz-Rock-768x576.jpg","taxonomy":{"webmapp_category":[234]},"accessibility":{"mobility":{"check":false,"description":""},"hearing":{"check":false,"description":""},"vision":{"check":false,"description":""},"cognitive":{"check":false,"description":""},"food":{"check":false,"description":""}},"locale":"it","source":"https:\/\/outcropedia.tectask.org\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/poi\/2208","wp_edit":"http:\/\/outcropedia.tectask.org\/wp-admin\/post.php?post=2208&action=edit","web":"https:\/\/outcropedia.tectask.org\/poi\/sierra-estrella-epidote-quartz-rock\/","addr:street":"","addr:housenumber":"","addr:postcode":"","addr:city":"","contact:phone":"","contact:email":"","opening_hours":"","capacity":""},"geometry":{"type":"Point","coordinates":[-112.26683,33.214]}}
