Late burial, bedding-normal extension veins restricted to Lower Devonian sandstones in an overturned fold limb. These quartz veins are similar in orientation prior to folding as the intermullion veins observed in Dedenborn and Bastogne and reflect the early Variscan stress state at the late burial. They formed as a result of high-fluid pressure during extension.<\/p>\n
Outcrop excellent for studying vein-rock interactions. Situated at the shores of the Rursee reservoir in the North Eifel (High-Ardenne slate belt, Germany). The outcrops are easy accessible and can be visited the whole year (maximum outcrop capacity in winter).<\/p>\n

Lower Permian leucogranite intruded by a Permian lamprophyre dyke at Aiguablava, Catalonia, Spain. The dyke partly follows and offsets a joint surface in the granite which must therefore have been present before its intrusion. Other, more irregular joints crosscut granite and dyke and impinge on the older joint. This outcrop has many excellent examples of this type of structure, although some were recently damaged by drilling.
