Miliardi di ciottoli si trasformarono in una cascata di roccia che scese rapidamente lungo la valle. Pian della Sega venne invaso dalle acque. Poi le acque ruppero la diga che cedette rilasciando un\u2019onda d\u2019acqua che distrusse alcuni ponti della Val Genova e della Val Rendena.
