L\u2019altopiano \u00e8 infatti privo di un reticolo idrografico superficiale, poich\u00e9 tutta l\u2019acqua piovana e di fusione \u00e8 rapidamente drenata in profondit\u00e0 dalla fitta rete di condotti carsici che pervadono le rocce calcaree. Il <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pnab.it\/il-parco\/il-parco-naturale\/geopark\/geositi\/morfologie-carsiche\">carsismo<\/a> ha dato forma a depressioni, doline e inghiottitoi. The plateau lacks a superficial hydrographic network, since all the rain and fusion water is rapidly drained in depth by the dense network of karstic ducts that pervade the limestone rocks. Karst has shaped depressions, dolines and swallow holes. Some basins can be temporarily occupied by ephemeral pools used for grazing livestock.
