I colori dello specchio virano dall\u2019azzurro a diverse tonalit\u00e0 verdeggianti, per la presenza di abbondanti alghe e piante acquatiche.
\nNel lago nuotano sanguinerole e trote iridee. Quest\u2019ultime non sono originarie del territorio del Parco. Sono infatti di origine nordamericana e ripetutamente immesse negli anni \u201950 e primi anni \u201960.<\/p>\n

In cielo, se siamo fortunati, possiamo avvistare la stupenda aquila reale. Questa illustre presenza storica ha ispirato il nome del lago e della Valle Valagola<\/a>, la valle dell\u2019aquila. In estate i campanacci delle vacche della vicina malga risuonano nei pascoli. La tradizionale presenza del bestiame durante l\u2019alpeggio arricchisce il lago di nutrienti, che naturalmente sarebbero scarsamente concentrati.<\/p>\n

Nelle vicinanze del Lago si trova Malga Valagola<\/strong> che ospita una foresteria del Parco.<\/p>\n

Fed by the melting waters of the Agola and Prato Fiorito glaciers, the lake reaches a maximum depth of only 4 m, despite being 300 m long and 140 m wide. Its colors turn from blue to different shades of green, due to the presence of abundant algae and aquatic plants. Minnows and rainbow trouts swim in the lake. The latter are not originating from the Park territory. They are in fact of North American origin and repeatedly introduced in the 50s and early 60s.<\/p>\n
In the sky, if we are lucky, we can see the beautiful golden eagle. This historical presence has inspired the name of the lake and of the valley. In summer the cow bells of the nearby malga resonate in the pastures. The traditional presence of livestock during the mountain pasture enriches the lake with nutrients, which naturally would be scarcely concentrated. Gespeist mit dem Schmelzwasser der Gletscher von Agola<\/a> und von Prato Fiorito erreicht der See eine maximale Tiefe von nur 4 Metern, trotz einer L\u00e4nge von 300 Metern und einer Breite von 140 Metern. Die Farben der Oberfl\u00e4che wechseln zwischen Azurblau und verschiedenen Gr\u00fcnt\u00f6nen der verschiedenen Algen und Wasserpflanzen. Im See schwimmen Bitterfische und Iris-Forellen, letztere waren einst nicht im Park zu finden; von Nordamerikanischem Ursprung wurden sie in den 50er und 60er Jahren im See eingesetzt.<\/p>\n
Mit etwas Gl\u00fcck erblickt man am Himmel den eindrucksvollen Steinadler. Dieser anmutende Anblick hat den Namen des Sees und des Tals Valagola gepr\u00e4gt – das Tal des Adlers (Valle dell’Aquila). Im Sommer erklingen auf den Weiden die Kuhglocken der Rinder der nahegelegenen Almen. Diese traditionelle alpine Haltung der Rinder sorgt daf\u00fcr, dass der See n\u00e4hrstoffreicher ist, was sonst nicht der Fall w\u00e4re.<\/p>\n
