La strada, che dalla valle del Savio sale al passo dei Mandrioli e collega la Romagna con Badia Prataglia, corre lungo i notissimi affioramenti della Marnoso-Arenacea che nel punto pi\u00f9 spettacolare prende il nome di \u201cScalacce\u201d, dove si osserva la ritmica alternanza di arenarie giallo-beige e marne grigio chiaro.
