Il rifugio del Poggio Cavallaro \u00e8 una struttura a disposizione degli amanti della natura e delle escursioni nel Parco. E\u2019 possibile soggiornarvi previa prenotazione. Il rifugio \u00e8 raggiungibile dalla strada provinciale (direzione Firenze) poco dopo localit\u00e0 Giumella, imboccando il sentiero 319 salendo per circa 3.5 km. Oppure dal valico Manzo (strada che collega Premilcuore a Portico di Romagna) prendendo la strada forestale (chiusa al transito ) percorrendo circa 5.5 km. In entrambi i casi l\u2019escursione \u00e8 piacevole e il paesaggio incantevole. Il rifugio dispone di sala da pranzo con camino, cucina con gas gpl, bagno con acqua piovana in cisterna interrata e due camere con 12 posti su letti a castello. The Poggio Cavallaro refuge is a structure available to nature lovers and excursions in the park. It is possible to stay there by booking. The refuge can be reached from the provincial road (towards Florence) shortly after Giumella, taking path 319 going up for about 3.5 km. Another way is from the Manzo pass (road that connects Premilcuore to Portico di Romagna) taking the forest road (closed to transit) covering about 5.5 km. In both cases the excursion is pleasant and the landscape enchanting. The refuge has a dining room with fireplace, kitchen with LPG gas, bathroom with rainwater in an underground cistern and two bedrooms with 12 places on bunk beds.
