Rappresenta la zona umida costiera pi\u00f9 settentrionale della Toscana, ed \u00e8 sopravvissuto alle bonifiche che hanno progressivamente ridotto le paludi ad inizio secolo XX. It represents the northernmost coastal wetland in Tuscany, and has survived the reclamations that progressively reduced the marshes at the beginning of the 20th century.
