{"type":"Feature","properties":{"id":7601,"name":"Collodi","description":"<p>La storia di Collodi \u00e8 strettamente legata al nome della famiglia Garzoni, le cui vicende si inseriscono nella controversia tra Guelfi e Ghibellini.<br \/>\nLa famiglia Garzoni apparteneva ai Ghibellini ed ebbe come storica rivale la citt\u00e0 di Firenze, notoriamente Guelfa.<br \/>\nDurante tutto il XIV secolo Collodi partecip\u00f2 alle battaglie di Montecatini (1315), di Altopascio (1325), al fallito tentativo di riprendere Pescia, e alle vicende della guerra fra Pisa e Firenze.<br \/>\nI Garzoni furono costretti ad emigrare a Lucca ma conservarono comunque i possedimenti a Collodi, a San Martino e a Sesto.<br \/>\nLa posizione dell&#8217;antico borgo, la cui esistenza \u00e8 attestata a partire dal XII secolo, dipende dalle esigenze difensive, infatti la popolazione fu costretta a salire sulla collina per evitare gli attacchi provenienti dai nemici situati nelle vicinanze.[1]<\/p>\n<p>Il borgo, dalla morfologia particolare, presenta case piccole ed arrampicate sul pendio di un colle scosceso, disposte sui lati di due triangoli, alla base dei quali si trovano l&#8217;antica Rocca e la Villa Garzoni, che sorge sulle rovine dell\u2019antico Castello medievale.<br \/>\nLe vie in mezzo alle case sono lastricate da pietre che mantengono il loro aspetto medievale.<br \/>\nPasseggiando per il borgo \u00e8 possibile ancora osservare i resti delle strutture fortificate come alcune porte, all\u2019estremit\u00e0 la Rocca con un ampio recinto ed alcune torri, di cui una trasformata in campanile.<br \/>\nSulla sommit\u00e0 dell&#8217;antico borgo \u00e8 possibile raggiungere la Pieve di San Bartolomeo<\/p>\n","modified":"2020-10-01T16:02:53","color":"","icon":"","noDetails":false,"noInteraction":false,"image":"https:\/\/selfguided-toscana.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/collodi-768x576.jpg","taxonomy":{"webmapp_category":[176]},"accessibility":{"mobility":{"check":false,"description":""},"hearing":{"check":false,"description":""},"vision":{"check":false,"description":""},"cognitive":{"check":false,"description":""},"food":{"check":false,"description":""}},"locale":"it","source":"https:\/\/selfguided-toscana.it\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/poi\/7601","wp_edit":"http:\/\/selfguided-toscana.it\/wp-admin\/post.php?post=7601&action=edit","translations":{"en":{"id":7605,"name":"Collodi","web":"https:\/\/selfguided-toscana.it\/\/collodi\/?lang=en","source":"https:\/\/selfguided-toscana.it\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/poi\/7605","description":"<p>The history of Collodi is closely linked to the name of the Garzoni family, whose events are part of the dispute between Guelphs and Ghibellines.<br \/>\nThe Garzoni family belonged to the Ghibellines and had as its historical rival the city of Florence, notoriously Guelph.<br \/>\nThroughout the fourteenth century Collodi participated in the battles of Montecatini (1315), of Altopascio (1325), in the failed attempt to retake Pescia, and in the events of the war between Pisa and Florence.<br \/>\nThe Garzoni were forced to emigrate to Lucca but still retained the possessions in Collodi, San Martino and Sesto.<br \/>\nThe position of the ancient village, whose existence is attested starting from the XII century, depends on the defensive needs, in fact the population was forced to climb the hill to avoid attacks from enemies located nearby. [1]<\/p>\n<p>The village, with a particular morphology, has small houses perched on the slope of a steep hill, arranged on the sides of two triangles, at the base of which are the ancient Rocca and the Villa Garzoni, which stands on the ruins of the ancient medieval castle .<br \/>\nThe streets between the houses are paved with stones which maintain their medieval aspect.<br \/>\nWalking through the village it is still possible to observe the remains of the fortified structures such as some gates, at the end the fortress with a large enclosure and some towers, one of which has been transformed into a bell tower.<br \/>\nOn the top of the ancient village it is possible to reach the Pieve di San Bartolomeo<\/p>\n"}},"web":"https:\/\/selfguided-toscana.it\/poi\/collodi\/","addr:street":"","addr:housenumber":"","addr:postcode":"","addr:city":"","contact:phone":"","contact:email":"","opening_hours":"","capacity":""},"geometry":{"type":"Point","coordinates":[10.6517152,43.8998053]}}
