Dal lato lucchese del Monte Pisano godiamo del facile e spettacolare avvicinamento lungo le arcate dell’Acquedotto monumentale del Nottolini, opera del XVIII secolo.<\/p>\n
L’ingresso nel fresco e umido ambiente del compitese, adatto all’allevamento di camelieti, segna l’inizio del tratto di salita pi\u00f9 arduo. Lo sforzo \u00e8\u00a0 ben ripagato da numerose soste in slarghi e visuali sulla piana lucchese, circondati da una natura prorompente. Sul crinale del monte avremo modo di gettare lo sguardo sul lato pisano. La discesa \u00e8 divertente ed appagante, con finale che pu\u00f2 diventare occasione per una merenda o un assaggio dei prodotti di queste terre.<\/p>\n

Start:<\/strong> Departure and arrival from the church of Guamo (LU)<\/span><\/p>\n Start of the tour in the direction of Vorno for 300m, then turn left towards “Parole d\u2019oro” Climb:<\/strong> In 2 short points, you are forced to descend to the difficult bottom.<\/p>\n Near the top of hill called the “Gallonzora”, we continue left along a downhill path and then uphill until we cross a dirt road that we will follow to the right uphill for 100m. From this point we follow a panoramic path on the left on a false plane and a fairly technical downhill stretch of single trak up to a downhill dirt road that takes us to the town of San Giusto. Descent:<\/strong> At the crossroads we continue in a north-easterly direction along a downhill dirt road 1. (0-1Km) From the church of Guamo we initially proceed on the Via Nuova towards Vorno and then turn left after 300m towards “Parole d’Oro”, intercepting the path of the monumental Nottolini Aqueduct near the Tempietto di Guamo<\/p>\n 2. (1-3 Km) We proceed uphill and in 2 short points, we are forced to descend to the difficult surface. Once on the ridge of the “Gallonzora”<\/p>\n 3. (3-6Km) We continue to the left almost on top of the “Gallonzora” along a downhill path and then uphill until we cross a dirt road that we will follow to the right uphill for 100m. From this point we follow a panoramic path to the left on a false floor and then a fairly technical downhill stretch of single track up to a downhill dirt road that takes us to the town of San Giusto di Compito.<\/p>\n 4. (6-7Km) We follow the asphalted road to the right for about 600m towards Sant\u2019Andrea di Compito. Before entering the town, and before taking the last hairpin bends, turn right onto a dirt road<\/p>\n 5. (7-10Km) We turn right uphill on a dirt road (signs for Prato a Sigliori) about 3 km takes us to Prato a Sigliori.<\/p>\n 6. (10-14Km) We continue straight uphill with several bends on a dirt road in the direction of the path of the \u201c600\u201d which we will always follow uphill. At the end of the path we will find ourselves on the dirt road that from Vorno climbs to Santallago. 7. (14-19Km) We are now moving east along the ridge of the Bisantola and towards the homonymous fire-fighting lake. Here we take the dirt road on the right which mainly downhill leads us to Campo di Croce<\/p>\n 8. (19-21Km) Campo di Croce is a crossroads on which at least 7 tracks converge from different directions. We proceed straight in the same direction from which we are coming (Monte Faeta indications): the last 2 hard kilometers of the climb that lead us to Monte Faeta await us.<\/p>\n Cima di Monte Faeta: we are on the highest point of the route. On clear days we can see Pisa, Livorno, the Gorgona, the Capraia, the lake of Massaciuccoli, the Gulf of La Spezia and the Apuane with the Panie group in evidence.<\/p>\n 9. (21-24 Km) From here the DESCENT begins. We cross the network in a northerly direction and follow the path to Monte del Carrara. For a stretch of about 200m the stony ground and the slope make the route rather difficult and technical<\/p>\n 10. (24-27Km) Upon reaching the crossroads, continue north-east along a dirt road downhill 11. (27-29Km) We follow the path on the LEFT, which winds in an alternating descent and short uphill stretches up to a small ford with an abandoned house. We continue still leaving the ruins of the house on the right, along the dirt road downhill.Always ignoring some crossroads, we continue straight until we find ourselves in front of a chapel in the pine forest<\/p>\n 12. (29-30 Km) We turn LEFT and follow the path marked with white-red signs to the Coselli cemetery.<\/p>\n 13. (0-1Km) <\/span><\/span><\/b>Dalla chiesa di Guamo procediamo inizialmente sulla Via nuova direzione Vorno per poi curvare a sinistra dopo 300m in direzione \u201c<\/span><\/span>Parole d\u2019Oro\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/b>, intercettando il percorso dell\u2019Acquedotto monumentale Nottolini nei pressi del <\/span><\/span>Tempietto di Guamo<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n 2. (1-3 Km) <\/b><\/span><\/span>Si procede in salita ed in<\/span><\/span> 2 punti, brevi ,si \u00e8 costretti a scendere per il fondo difficile. <\/span><\/span>Giunti sul crinaletto della <\/span><\/span>\u201cGallonzora\u201d<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n 3. (3-6Km) Proseguiamo a SX<\/b><\/span><\/span> quasi in cima alla \u201cGallonzora \u201c lungo un sentiero in discesa e successivamente in salita fino ad incrociare una sterrata che seguiremo a dx in forte salita per 100m.Da questo punto seguiamo <\/span><\/span>a <\/b><\/span><\/span>sinistra<\/b><\/span><\/span> un sentiero panoramico in falso piano e a seguire un tratto di <\/span><\/span>single tra<\/i><\/span><\/span>c<\/i><\/span><\/span>k <\/i><\/span><\/span>in discesa abbastanza tecnico fino ad una sterrata in discesa che ci porta al paese di <\/span><\/span>San Giusto <\/b><\/span><\/span>di Compito<\/b><\/span><\/span>.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n 4. (6-7Km) <\/b><\/span><\/span>Seguiamo <\/span><\/span>a destra <\/b><\/span><\/span>per circa 600m <\/b><\/span><\/span>la strada asfaltata in direzione<\/span><\/span> Sant\u2019Andrea di Compito. <\/b><\/span><\/span>Prima di entrare in paese, e prima di intraprendere gli ultimi tornanti<\/span><\/span> svoltiamo a dx su strada sterrata<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n 5. (7-10Km) Svoltiamo a destra<\/b><\/span><\/span> in salita su strada sterrata (indicazioni per <\/span><\/span>Prato a Sigliori<\/b><\/span><\/span>) circa 3 km ci porta a Prato a Sigliori.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n 6. (10-14Km) Proseguiamo dritto in salita<\/b><\/span><\/span> con diversi tornanti su sterrata<\/span><\/span>in direzione del sentiero della \u201c600\u201d che percorreremo sempre in salita. Alla fine del sentiero ci troveremo sulla sterrata che da Vorno sale a Santallago.<\/span><\/span> 7. (14-19Km) <\/b><\/span><\/span>Ci spostiamo <\/span><\/span>adesso <\/span><\/span> in <\/span><\/span>direzione est <\/b><\/span><\/span>lungo il crinale della Bisantola<\/b><\/span><\/span> e <\/span><\/span>verso <\/span><\/span>l\u2019omonimo<\/span><\/span> laghetto antincendio. <\/span><\/span>Qui i<\/span><\/span>mbocchiamo <\/span><\/span>la sterrata sulla dx <\/b><\/span><\/span>che prevalentemente in discesa ci porta a <\/span><\/span>Campo di Croce<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n 8. (19- 21Km) Campo di Croce <\/b><\/span><\/span>\u00e8 un crocicchio su cui convergono almeno 7 tracce da direzioni differenti. <\/span><\/span>Noi procediamo dritto nella stessa direzione<\/b><\/span><\/span> da cui stiamo provenendo (indicazioni Monte Faeta): ci aspettano gli ultimi 2 duri chilometri della salita che ci conducono al <\/span><\/span>Monte Faeta.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Cima di Monte Faeta: <\/b><\/span><\/span>siamo sul punto pi\u00f9 alto del percorso. <\/span><\/span>Nelle giornate limpide possiamo vedere Pisa ,Livorno ,la Gorgona ,la Capraia,il lago di Massaciuccoli ,il Golfo di La Spezia e le Apuane con il gruppo delle Panie in evidenza<\/span><\/span>.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n 9. (21-<\/b><\/span><\/span>24<\/b><\/span><\/span> Km) Da qui ha inizio la DISCESA. <\/b><\/span><\/span>Attraversiamo la rete in <\/span><\/span>direzione nord <\/b><\/span><\/span>e seguiamo il sentiero fino alla localita\u2019 <\/span><\/span>Monte del Carrara.<\/b><\/span><\/span>Per un tratto di circa 200m il fondo sassoso e la pendenza rendono il percorso piuttosto difficile e tecnico<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n 10. (24-27Km)<\/b><\/span><\/span> Giunti al crocevia proseguiamo in direzione nord-est lungo una sterrata in discesa<\/span><\/span> 11. (27-29Km ) <\/b><\/span><\/span>Seguiamo il sentiero sulla <\/b><\/span><\/span>SINISTRA,<\/b><\/span><\/span> che si snoda in <\/span><\/span>UN ALTERNARSi di <\/span><\/span>discesa e brevi tratti di salita <\/span><\/span>fino a<\/span><\/span>d un <\/span><\/span>piccolo <\/span><\/span>guado <\/span><\/span>con<\/span><\/span> casa abbandonata. Proseguiamo ancora lasciandoci i ruderi della casa sulla dx, lungo la sterrata in discesa .Sempre ignorando alcuni bivi ,proseguiamo dritti fino a trovarci di fronte ad una cappellina nella pineta<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n 12. (29-30 Km) Svoltiamo a SINISTRA<\/b><\/span><\/span> e seguiamo il sentiero tracciato con segni bianco-rossi fino al <\/span><\/span>cimitero di Coselli <\/b><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
\nWe cross the beautiful area of \u200b\u200bthe monumental Nottolini aqueduct uphill.<\/p>\n
\nWe take the asphalted road slightly uphill for 600m towards the village of Sant\u2019Andrea di Compito.
\nBefore starting the hairpin bends that lead to the town, turn right onto a dirt road that in about 3 km takes us to Prato a Sigliori.
\nFrom here climb along the dirt road towards the path of the “600” which we will always go uphill.
\nAt the end of the path we will find ourselves on the dirt road that from Vorno climbs to Santallago.
\nWe continue uphill to the Santallago restaurant where we also find a fountain.
\nWe then move east towards the Bisantola fire-fighting lake.
\nWe then take the dirt road on the right which mainly downhill leads us to Campo di Croce
\nFrom this point the steeper climb awaits us.
\nIn fact, we head towards the summit of Monte Faeta (about 2km).<\/p>\n
\nWe cross the network in a northerly direction and follow the path up to the locality of Monte del Carrara. For a stretch of about 200m the stony ground and the slope make the route rather difficult and technical.<\/p>\n
\nfor about 2 km. (we leave out some crossroads and go straight on) until you find a metal mesh.
\nWe follow the path on the left.This is a path that winds downhill and short uphill stretches and a ford up to an abandoned house.We continue leaving the ruins of the house on the right, along the dirt road downhill.Always ignoring some crossroads, we continue straight until we find ourselves in front of a chapel in the pine forest. We turn left and follow the path marked with white-red signs up to the church of Coselli.
\nFrom here then on asphalt (about 2.5km) to the start point<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
\nWe continue uphill to the Santallago restaurant where we also find a water point<\/p>\n
\nfor about 2 km. (we leave out some crossroads and go straight on) until you find a wire mesh in “Il Cocco”<\/p>\n
\n<\/b><\/span><\/span>La percorriamo ancora in salita fino al <\/span><\/span>ristorante di Santallago<\/b><\/span><\/span> dove troviamo anche un<\/span><\/span> <\/b>punto acqua<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/b><\/span><\/span>per circa 2 km.(tralasciamo alcuni bivi e proseguiamo dritti) fino a trovare una rete metallica in <\/span><\/span>Localit\u00e0 \u201cIl Cocco\u201d<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
