Situato nell\u2019antico palazzo Ambrosi nel centro del borgo di Casola in Lunigiana, il Museo dell\u2019alta Valle dell’Aulella raccoglie testimonianze dell\u2019identit\u00e0 culturale<\/strong> delle genti locali. Il territorio \u00e8 presentato da diversi punti di vista seguendo un percorso tematico. Dell\u2019epoca preistorica sono conservati reperti del paleolitico medio e dell\u2019et\u00e0 dei Metalli<\/strong>, rinvenuti nei siti della Tecchia di Equi, della Tana della Volpe e della Grotta delle Felci. Cronologicamente si passa poi dalle statue stele<\/strong> (presenti in calco), ai castellari<\/strong>, a resti romani<\/strong> e a capitelli e fonti battesimali medievali<\/strong> di pievi e chiese della zona. La religiosit\u00e0 popolare si riflette nell\u2019arte sacra locale<\/strong> qui custodita: calici, ostensori e paramenti sacri, opere realizzate in loco dalle Confraternite, i lanternoni, le maest\u00e0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nel museo sono inoltre presenti indicazioni per diversi itinerari didattici<\/strong> in siti importanti della zona: la Tecchia di Equi terme, sede dell\u2019orso speleo e dell\u2019uomo di Neanderthal, il borgo medievale di Gragnola, Codiponte, Monte dei Bianchi e le pievi di Offiano, Codiponte e San Lorenzo di Minucciano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Museum of the Alta Valle Aulella, located in the ancient Ambrosi palace in the center of the village of Casola in Lunigiana, collects vestiges of the cultural identity<\/strong> of local people. The territory is narrated from different points of view following a thematic path. From the prehistoric era there are remains of the Middle Palaeolithic and the Metal Age<\/strong>, that were found in the sites of the Tecchia di Equi, the Tana della Volpe and the Grotta delle Felci. Chronologically we then pass from the stele statues<\/strong> (in cast), to the castles ruins<\/strong>, to the Roman remains<\/strong> and to the medieval capitals and baptismal fonts<\/strong> of the parishes and churches of the area. The popular religiosity is reflected in the local sacred art<\/strong> kept here: chalices, monstrances and sacred vestments, works made on site by the Confraternities, the lanterns and the majesties.<\/p><\/p>\n\n

In the museum you can also find information for various educational itineraries<\/strong> in some important sites of the area: the Tecchia di Equi terme, seat of the speleo bear and the Neanderthal man, the medieval village of Gragnola, Codiponte, Monte dei Bianchi and the churches of Offiano, Codiponte and San Lorenzo di Minucciano.<\/p><\/p>\n\n

Nel cuore dell’antico borgo di Gottano nasce da un\u2019idea di un suo abitante, Gianni Pedrelli, che ha raccolto, recuperato e catalogato attrezzi ed utensili dei lavoranti dei campi e delle massaie<\/strong> per esporli all’interno della propria abitazione e nel cortile di casa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Negli anni la collezione si \u00e8 ampliata con oggetti della vita rurale dei primi del ‘900<\/strong>, per lo pi\u00f9 realizzati in legno<\/strong> e in ferro battuto<\/strong>, che ci riportano alle lavorazioni e allo stile di vita di quel periodo, in cui le materie prime venivano raccolte e trasformate in prodotti adatti alla lavorazione e alla conservazione.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pedrelli accoglie i visitatori nella propria casa-museo<\/strong> con garbo e cortesia illustrando loro la provenienza e la funzione di ogni singolo pezzo, narrandone curiosit\u00e0 e aneddoti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Located in the heart of the ancient village of Gottano, this collection was born from an idea of one of its inhabitants, Gianni Pedrelli who collected, recovered and cataloged tools and utensils of field workers and housewives<\/strong> to display them inside his own home and in the backyard.<\/p><\/p>\n\n

Over the years the collection has expanded with objects of rural life from the early 1900s<\/strong>, mostly made of wood<\/strong> and wrought iron<\/strong> that bring us back to the workmanship and lifestyle of that period, in which raw materials were collected and transformed. in products suitable for processing and storage.<\/p><\/p>\n\n

Pedrelli welcomes visitors to his museum house<\/strong> with grace and courtesy, illustrating the origin and function of each single piece, narrating curiosities and anecdotes.<\/p><\/p>\n\n

La rude suggestione delle rovine del castello di Canossa, intrisa dell’eco del drammatico incontro tra il Papa Gregorio VII e Enrico IV<\/strong>, sorge da un picco di arenaria che domina scenografici calanchi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rappresenta il simbolo riconosciuto del grande potere conquistato tra X e XII dalla nobile stirpe dei Da Canossa e, pi\u00f9 in particolare, dalla contessa Matilde<\/strong>, che qui visse e che fu protagonista delle lotte tra impero e papato, tra cui spicca il celebre episodio dell’\u201dumiliazione\u201d dell’imperatore Enrico IV di fronte al papa Gregorio VII avvenuto appunto a Canossa nell’inverno del 1077. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il nucleo originario del castello sembra risalire al Xsec, e in seguito vennero erette due cinte murarie, il monastero e la chiesa di S. Apollonio<\/strong>, oltre a edifici di servizio e magazzini. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gli scavi archeologici iniziati fin dall’800 sotto la guida di Don Gaetano Chierici hanno permesso di ricostruire in via ipotetica il complesso canossano, del quale restano oggi pochi, ma suggestivi ruderi. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tuttavia, nel corso degli ultimi anni, nuovi scavi stanno riportando progressivamente alla luce tracce importanti dell\u2019antico borgo<\/strong> che doveva sorgere ai piedi della rupe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rough suggestiveness of the ruins of the Canossa castle, imbued with the echo of the dramatic encounter between the <\/span>Pope Gregory VII and Henry IV<\/b>, rises out of a sandstone peak overlooking the Badlands.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

It is the true <\/span>symbol of the great power achieved between the X and the XII cent. by the noble family Da Canossa and especially by Countess Matilde<\/b>, who lived here and held a key role in the ferocious contrasts between the Pope and the Empire, among which stands out the celebrated episode of the \u201chumiliation\u201d of Emperor Henry IV before Pope Gregory VII, which took place in Canossa in the winter of 1077.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

The original core of the castle is likely date back to the 10 century and afterwards two rings of walls, the monastery and the <\/span>church St. Apollonius<\/b>, besides the storehouses and granaries.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

The archaeological excavations began at the end of the \u2018800s, under the supervision of a Don Gaetano Chierici, a Catholic priest and scientist-archaeologist. The excavations allowed to reconstruct at least hypothetically the Canossa settlement, of which today survive only few, but suggestive remains.<\/p>\n\n

However, over the last years, new excavations have been revealing significant traces of the <\/span>ancient village<\/b> that must developed at the foot of the cliff.<\/span><\/p>\n\n
