A tower can be observed from this point. No age is dark, no age yields to oblivion. The Raminga Water Tower is the medieval tension to the conquest of the sky and the removal of barbarism. The name of this tower derives from the ditch below, the Acqua Raminga ditch. It was built in medieval times on the remains of a Roman villa belonging to Annia Faustina, wife of Antonino Pio, active father of the emperor Marco Aurelio. On this site, a plateau surrounded by deep valleys was built a castle with its tower, which stands partly in front of your eyes. A church and a village (Castrum Faustinianum) were enclosed by walls. Valleys and walls, depth and elevation as the defense of life. Since the twelfth century, this tower has been clinging to the sky, waking up to the fields, knowing the seasons, recognizing the winds that caress and sustain it.<\/p>\n"}},"web":"https:\/\/sit.wp.webmapp.it\/poi\/torre-dell-acqua-raminga\/","addr:street":"","addr:housenumber":"","addr:postcode":"","addr:city":"","contact:phone":"","contact:email":"","opening_hours":"","capacity":""},"geometry":{"type":"Point","coordinates":[12.824907,41.90164]}}
