\nRicordati di utilizzare sempre calzature da montagna e abbigliamento adeguato: in alta quota il tempo cambia anche velocemente ed \u00e8 importante avere sempre con s\u00e9 indumenti caldi e protezioni contro il vento o la pioggia. \u00c8 opportuno portare cibo e acqua, ed \u00e8 buona norma disporre di una minima dotazione per il pronto soccorso. Per percorrere in sicurezza l\u2019itinerario considera inoltre la possibilit\u00e0 di farti accompagnare da una guida alpina o da un accompagnatore di media montagna.
\nTi trovi all\u2019interno del Parco dell\u2019Adamello, a cavallo tra Lombardia e Trentino, a cospetto delle pi\u00f9 imponenti montagne del gruppo dell\u2019Adamello. Oggi \u00e8 un luogo fortemente turistico, d\u2019incontro e di passaggio, ma gi\u00e0 dall’antichit\u00e0 il valico del Tonale metteva in comunicazione la valle Camonica, territorio dei Camuni, con la Val di Sole, abitata dagli Anauni.
\nTra il 1915 e il 1918 questo territorio fu teatro di aspri combattimenti tra Regno d\u2019Italia e Impero Austro-Ungarico. I luoghi ove si svolsero i combattimenti erano in genere ad alta quota, coperti prevalentemente da neve e ghiacciai perenni: per questo motivo, il conflitto prese il nome di Guerra Bianca. Proprio grazie alla conservazione facilitata dal particolare ambiente di alta quota, sono ancora numerose le testimonianze della permanenza dei soldati dei due eserciti su queste cime. Si tratta di elementi storici importanti, oggi tutelati dalla legge: \u00e8 pertanto vietata ogni azione di danneggiamento, compreso anche il solo prelievo di piccole porzioni di manufatti e reperti.
\nI contenuti proposti rientrano nel programma di valorizzazione del patrimonio storico promosso e sostenuto da Regione Lombardia all\u2019interno del Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio e del Parco dell\u2019Adamello con la collaborazione del Museo della Guerra Bianca di Tem\u00f9. <\/p>\n
Il progetto intende descrivere i luoghi, le vicende e i manufatti legati alla prima guerra mondiale, facendo emergere aspetti poco noti del conflitto, ma soprattutto intende ricordare che la storia della Guerra Bianca, e di tutta la Grande Guerra, \u00e8 colma di sacrifici inimmaginabili da entrambe le parti.
\nQuesto racconto vuole essere un omaggio a quei soldati che, nel sommesso compimento di un dovere o nella convinzione di onorare la propria Patria fino a donarle la vita, sono stati protagonisti di quelle tragiche vicende. Per questo ti invitiamo a intraprendere questa passeggiata non solo con un approccio rispettoso dell\u2019ambiente, ma anche della memoria di quegli uomini che qui furono costretti ad affrontarsi e a uccidersi.
\nL\u2019itinerario permette, dalla localit\u00e0 “curva dei Frati”, appena pi\u00f9 a valle del Passo del Tonale, di ascendere alla Costa di Casamadre e alla Cima Castellaccio, da non confondere con la sovrastante e pi\u00f9 elevata Punta di Castellaccio, a 3029 metri.
\nIl versante orografico sinistro del Passo del Tonale e, pi\u00f9 precisamente, la Costa di Casamadre, cio\u00e8 la lunga propaggine che dalla base delle impervie pareti della Punta Castellaccio porta al Roccolo Beltracchi passando per la Cima Castellaccio, costituiva la linea pi\u00f9 avanzata dello schieramento difensivo italiano sul Tonale.
\nI comandi militari italiani avevano disposto in prossimit\u00e0 del passo uno sbarramento di prima linea costituito da due ridotte. Sopra il dosso sul quale si erge ora la chiesetta dei frati, era stata predisposta la Ridotta Garibaldina che si collegava, appena a valle del crinale oltre il quale \u00e8 stata costruita la Caserma Tonolini, alla Ridotta Oberdan.
\nAncora oggi, anche se con fatica per la presenza di una fitta vegetazione, \u00e8 visibile un labirinto di camminamenti disposti a raggiera che costituivano l’ossatura della posizioni italiane di prima linea.
\nLungo questo tracciato incontrerai tre punti di interesse: al passaggio del torrentello sul Rio del Pisso, alla Costa di Casamadre e sulla Cima Castellaccio.
\nGrazie alla collaborazione dell\u2019archivio del Museo della Guerra Bianca, nei punti di interesse di questo percorso saranno visibili anche fotografie storiche di queste zone. \nThe application \u201cFollowing in the footsteps of history\u201d you have activated gives you access to historical and environmental information on the place you are visiting. It is a way of offering cultural contents without us needing to set up and manage info boards or you to stop and read them. As you move along the itinerary you will receive mobile phone alerts when you reach points of interest. A map of the area will automatically appear, giving you the opportunity to activate an audio description. We recommend you use headphones so that you can remain focused on the route as you walk. As well as audio information the application also makes a series of archive images available. Stop a moment to look at these. Prudence is always advisable in the mountains. Take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy the landscape around you.
\nRemember to wear mountain boots and suitable clothing at all times. At high altitudes the weather changes rapidly and it is important to have warm, wind and rain proof clothing with you at all times. Bringing food and water is recommended and bringing a minimum of first aid supplies with you is good practice. For safety purposes you may also want to consider hiring an Alpine or Middle Mountain guide to accompany you.
\nYou are in the Adamello Park, on the Lombardy-Trentino border, in proximity to the highest mountains in the Adamello massif. It is now a popular tourist destination, a place of meeting and transit, but the Tonale valley has linked up the Camonica valley, land of the Camuni, with Val di Sole, populated by the Anauni, since antiquity.
\nFrom 1915 to 1918 the area was the site of bloody fighting between the Italian kingdom and the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Most of the fighting took place at high altitude, where permanent snow and glaciers are the norm and this is why it has been called the White War ever since. It is precisely due to the specific conservation facilitated by high altitude environments that so much evidence of the presence of the two armies on these peaks has been conserved. These are important historical records now protected by the law. Any damage whatsoever, including taking with you a small piece of these historical items and finds is thus strictly forbidden.
\nThe information offered here falls under the historical heritage promotion programme sponsored by the Lombard Region in the Stelvio National Park and the Adamello Park, in conjunction with the Tem\u00f9 White War Museum. The aim of the project is to describe the places, events and artefacts linked to World War One, bringing out little known aspects of the war and, above all, remembering that the history of the White War, like that of the Great War as a whole, is a story of unimaginable suffering on both sides.
\nThe purpose of this story is thus to pay tribute to those soldiers who played a part in these tragic events, quietly doing their duty or in the belief that honouring their nation meant giving their lives. We therefore hope you will undertake this very beautiful walk in a spirit which is respectful not only of nature but also, first and foremost, of the memory of the men who were obliged to fight and kill each other here.<\/p>\n
From the Curva dei Frati site, just a little below Tonale Pass is an opportunity to climb up to Costa di Casamadre and Cima Castellaccio \u2013 not to be confused with the higher Punta di Castellaccio above it, at an altitude of 3029 metres.
\nThe left side of the Tonale Pass valley and, more specifically, Costa di Casamadre, i.e. the long spur which juts out from the base of the remote walls of Punta Castellaccio and continues to the Beltracchi bird snare tower via Cima Castellaccio, was the advance Italian defensive line on Tonale Pass.
\nThe Italian army command had ordered a first defensive line to be built near the pass made up of two redoubts. The Garibaldi redoubt was located above the rise which is now the site of the Frati chapel, and linked up to the Oberdan redoubt just a little below the ridge and beyond it to the Tonolini barracks.
\nA maze of trenches arranged in a fan shape which made up the backbone of the Italian front line trenches are still visible, though the route to them is made a little challenging by the dense vegetation in the area today.
\nYou will come across three points of interest here: the Rio del Pisso stream crossing, Costa di Casamadre and Cima Castellaccio.
\nThanks to the assistance of the archive of the White War Museum, photographs of the area are also on display at this itinerary\u2019s points of interest. Erste-Hilfe-Ausr\u00fcstung soll ebenfalls bei jedem Ausflug in den Bergen ihren Platz im Rucksack finden. In puncto Sicherheit sollten Sie auch die M\u00f6glichkeit in Betracht ziehen, sich von einem Berg- oder Mittelgebirgsf\u00fchrer begleiten zu lassen.
\nSie befinden sich im Park Adamello, zwischen der Lombardei und dem Trentino, vor den imposantesten Gipfeln der Adamello-Gruppe. Heute ist der Park ein Ort von gro\u00dfem touristischem Interesse, der Begegnung und des Durchgangs, aber schon in der Antike verband der Tonalepass das Tal Valcamonica, Heimat der Camunni, mit dem Sulztal, bewohnt von den Anauni.
\nZwischen 1915 und 1918 wurde dieses Gebiet zum Schauplatz heftiger K\u00e4mpfe zwischen Italien und \u00d6sterreich-Ungarn. Gek\u00e4mpft wurde vor allem auf den h\u00f6heren Bergen, die das ganze Jahr \u00fcber von Schnee und Gletschern bedeckt waren: Aus diesem Grund wurde der Konflikt schon damals als Wei\u00dfer Krieg bezeichnet. Gerade der besonderen H\u00f6henlage ist es zu verdanken, dass uns heute noch zahlreiche Zeugnisse vom Leben der Soldaten beider Nationen an der Bergfront erhalten geblieben sind. Es handelt sich um wichtige historische Elemente, die heute unter gesetzlichem Schutz stehen: Jede Besch\u00e4digung, auch das Entfernen kleiner Teile von Artefakten und Funden, ist strikt verboten.
\nDie angebotenen Inhalte sind Teil des Programms zur Aufwertung des historischen Erbes, das von der Region Lombardei im Nationalpark Stilfserjoch und im Park Adamello in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Museum des Wei\u00dfen Krieges in Tem\u00f9 gef\u00f6rdert und betreut wird. Das Projekt beabsichtigt, die mit dem Ersten Weltkrieg verbundenen Orte, Ereignisse und Artefakte zu beschreiben und wenig bekannte Aspekte des Konflikts ans Licht zu bringen, aber vor allem will es uns an die Hingabe der Soldaten erinnern, die im Wei\u00dfen Krieg und im Ersten Weltkrieg auf beiden Seiten k\u00e4mpften.
\nDiese Erz\u00e4hlung will jener Soldaten gedenken, die in der unterw\u00fcrfigen Erf\u00fcllung einer Pflicht oder in der \u00dcberzeugung, ihr Land zu ehren, bis hin zur Hingabe ihres Lebens, zu Protagonisten jener tragischen Ereignisse wurden. Wir laden Sie deshalb dazu ein, diese Wanderung nicht nur mit Respekt vor der Umwelt, sondern auch im Gedenken an die M\u00e4nner zu unternehmen, die hier k\u00e4mpfen und sich gegenseitig das Leben nehmen mussten.<\/p>\n
Vom Ort \u201eCurva dei Frati\u201c gleich unten vom Tonalepass aus steigt die Route zur Costa di Casamadre und zum Castellaccio-Gipfel auf, nicht zu verwechseln mit der h\u00f6her gelegenen Castellaccio-Spitze, in 3029 Meter H\u00f6he.
\nDie orografisch linke Seite des Tonalepasses und, genauer gesagt, die Costa di Casamadre, das hei\u00dft der lange Ausl\u00e4ufer, der vom Fu\u00dfe der undurchl\u00e4ssigen Castellaccio-Spitze \u00fcber den Castellaccio-Gipfel nach Roccolo Beltracchi f\u00fchrt, bildete die vorderste italienische Verteidigungslinie am Tonalepass.
\nDas italienische Milit\u00e4rkommando hatte beim Pass eine erste Sperrlinie bestehend aus zwei Schanzen errichtet. Oberhalb des Bergr\u00fcckens, auf dem heute das Kirchlein der M\u00f6nche steht, wurde die Garibaldina-Schanze errichtet und mit der Oberdan-Schanze verbunden, die direkt unterhalb des Bergr\u00fcckens lag, jenseits dessen die Tonolini-Kaserne errichtet wurde.
\nNoch heute kann man, wenn auch unter Schwierigkeiten wegen der dichten Vegetation, ein Labyrinth von radial angeordneten G\u00e4ngen erkennen, die das R\u00fcckgrat der italienischen Frontstellungen bildeten.
\nEntlang dieser Route befinden sich drei Interessenpunkte: am kleinen Bach beim Rio del Pisso, an der Costa di Casamadre und auf der Castellaccio-Spitze.
\nDank der Zusammenarbeit mit dem Archiv des Museums des Wei\u00dfen Krieges sind an den Interessenpunkten entlang der Route auch historische Fotos dieser Gebiete zu sehen.
