La piana alluvionale di Greano (m 565), situata a Sud della Strada Statale n. 42 del Tonale e della Mendola, tra Malonno e Sonico, rappresentava durante il primo conflitto mondiale l\u2019ultima linea di difesa dell\u2019alta Valle Camonica. Lo sbarramento fortificato doveva impedire la discesa avversaria lungo la valle in direzione di Brescia.
