La caratteristica pi\u00f9 curiosa dell\u2019arco \u00e8 sicuramente il naso che spunta dalla parete interna dell\u2019arco pi\u00f9 a nord, posizionato qui nel 1997 dall\u2019artista Rick Buckley in segno di protesta per l\u2019alto numero di telecamere a circuito chiuso installate in citt\u00e0 e viste da alcuni come una violazione della propria privacy.<\/p>\n

Commissioned by King Edward VII (1841-1910) in memory of his mother Queen Victoria, it was completed in 1912. The most unusual feature of the Arch is the nose sticking out of the wall of the northernmost arch, installed here in 1997 by the artist Rick Buckley, provoked by the controversial introduction of a high number of CCTV cameras throughout the city.<\/p>\n
