Questo borgo, importante centro, fin dal 1300, per la produzione di olio, vino e terrecotte deve il proprio sviluppo all\u2019immagine devozionale della Madonna dell\u2019Impruneta, ritenuta miracolosa soprattutto dopo la fine della peste del 1348 e conservata nella basilica-santuario di S.Maria dell\u2019Impruneta. Sorta sul sito di un santuario etrusco-romano fu ingrandita nel\u2019300 e rimaneggiata successivamente.<\/p>\n
La facciata, preceduta da un portico di Gherardo Silvani (1634), \u00e8 inquadrata da una torretta con orologio del XVIII secolo e dalla torre campanaria del XIII. This medieval village, an important center since 1300 for the production of oil, wine and terracotta owes its development to the devotional image of the Madonna of Impruneta, considered miraculous especially after the end of the plague of 1348 and preserved in the basilica-sanctuary of S. Maria of Impruneta. Built on the site of an Etruscan-Roman sanctuary, it was enlarged in the year 300 and subsequently altered.<\/p>\n
The fa\u00e7ade, preceded by a portico by Gherardo Silvani (1634), is framed by a tower with an 18th century clock and a bell tower from the 13th century.
