On the watershed between the valleys of the rivers Arbia and Pesa, the town of Radda was the head of the Chianti League (1201). Sullo spartiacque fra le valli della dei fiumi Pesa ed Arbia, il comune di Radda fu a capo della Lega del Chianti (1201).
