Il nobile Benedetto Venier, proprietario dell\u2019omonima villa, fa costruire una chiesetta dedicata alla beata Vergine della salute nel 1816 dotandola di alcuni terreni e case le cui rendite dovevano servire al mantenimento del tempietto. Un muro di cinta proteggeva la propriet\u00e0.<\/p>\n
Proprio al riparo di questo muro, i volontari toscani affrontano lo scontro con gli Austriaci, tentando di impedirne il passaggio. Gli Austriaci, infatti, durante la notte erano usciti in forze da Verona, diretti aSommacampagna e Sona, con l\u2019intenzione di sfondare il fronte piemontese ed aprirsi un passaggio verso Peschiera.<\/p>\n
La resistenza dei giovani volontari, guidati ed incitati dal magg.
