A true lighthouse of culture, Pomposa had one of the most extensive\u00a0<strong>libraries<\/strong>\u00a0of the time.<\/p>\n<p>Among the personalities that made it so famous were the saint and abbot Guido degli Strambiati and Guido da Pomposa (known by the name of Guido d\u2019Arezzo), inventor of the\u00a0<strong>modern musical notation<\/strong>. In front there is the\u00a0<i>Palazzo della Ragione<\/i>, from which the abbot administered justice in his feuds.
