The train station is in the Fegina area, a built-up area which is a subsequent expansion to the ancient burg, located beyond the tunnel. On your right, on the beach of Fegina, the statue of a giant overlooks the sea, representing the god Neptune. Small piece of advice: when you are in Monterosso, you must try the fresh anchovies fished with the ancient method called “lampara”, from the name of the fishing boat in use. The boat sails at night and attracts the plankton thanks to a large lamp; then, anchovies, who love eating plankton, are attracted towards the boat, too, and get caught in the fishing nets. The magic of this environment was captured by Italian poet Eugenio Montale in his work Ossi di Seppia (Cuttlefish Bones).

[9.65493111871183,44.147656336631535]}}
